Slow log in

Has anyone noticed that logging into SL is sooooo slow...you pray you make it, precaching and downloading clothing takes forever.

You are in! You are ruthed, under a floor and flying...you friends list announces each person that is online...

You wait, ruthed, in midair while it all loads...and then ahh you land. You may be ruthed, you may be alright. If so, log out and begin the process again, and pray...

People are gray, packet loss spikes...I have had more complaints of missing inventory items when I work in a store, or when I hostess, streams cut in and out with the packet loss...

Completely true. All of it.

I've particularily noticed streams cutting in & out recently, accompanied by a packet loss spike. This usually happens after a camera alt-zoom of some sort, settles itself down after a few minutes and the stream returns. Alt-zoom again & the stream cuts out again. This can happen in any region, expect for my Home sim where the music is streamed-in from a second PC running at my RL house.

Although I can't say I've particularily experienced an increase in the other things you've listed, I have noticed that regions seem to be more slowly downloading, once I've tp'd into them.
