I heard we were gonna be able to surf the web inside SL...never had any for sure on it though...is this just a dream I hope will happen someday? or am I just a newb lol

This is a too-legit-to-quit feat, Keiji!  The implementation of Mozilla within SL as an inworld browser is being worked on, last I heard. Hasn't come yet, but keep hoping with me and it'll come our way. Use Forum Search Ninja Skillz to dig up more info on it too!  |

The official word is its currently on hold, they got it kinda working for 1.7 but well if you think its slow at the moment then you aint seen nothing apparently.
Im sure with some tweaking and perhaps waiting for the new firefox engine 1.5 to be released this will get done soonish.

I was in the last official meeting about the browser and Lindens say it was probably going to be released in 1.7, didnt happen but well I prefer it that way if its not ready, we dont need more bugs and slow downs ATM @@

Heh Torley soon we will invent that thing called the wheel and roll over this texture problem actualy get to the ones plaugeing the SL residents.
I say hold of on the textures and streaming audio and steamroll that crashing and not loading problem that we wernt haveing in preview
In addition... I am not one of the many few that are haveing thouse problemn nor the texture problem... im runnin fine
