Most of the bugs they fixed in Preview were related to video. I saw several changes there.

Seriously though, I hope the upshot of this is a lot more people come and test the preview grids on a more regular basis. That's always best - and for every bug that's unforseeable in Preview, there are two that could be fixed there.

Yeah, some people are under the misconception that "oh, Preview grid is only for techie people" and stuff. NOT true, 'cuz when Preview opens up, all Residents are warmly invited in to help out and figure out schtuffs... after all, when the final version rolls out, the glitches will affect them too, so it's good to get as many points of view as possible.

It's amazing software like this works at all. Holy moly complexities.

Zuzi,

I have noticed the same thing - and I noticed it with 1.5 and 1.4 as well. I am not certain sometimes why they request bug reports on a preview and then release with those bugs still present. Video streaming got way too much focus in this release. The crushing lag problem and the no copy/no trans texture issues alone are horrible - to have released it, even with as much great new functionality as it has, without correcting reported preview bugs is careless and frustrating.

might be that by the time they do a preview it's kinda too late to fix anything anymore and they use it just to get a checklist of bugs for the 1.X.1 and 1.X.2 updates. seems like big updates always have problems (like i've seen so many hehe) and they start to be good after a couple minor updates.

i'd hate to get cynical enough to think they use previews for publicity instead of fixing bugs tho. so i won't. :D

Just as I never use the first builds on a new linux kernel, I never use the first builds on a new SL version :)
Also, don't log in as soon as it comes back up unless you want to experience horrendous lag and asset server issues.

True enough, but some of the bugs reported in Beta haven't been fixed yet either.

No, I don't know what my point is. Can anyone explain it to me?
