Some of the pictures you see when logging in...
Know what's not epic? LL and their lack of providing the location of these awesome pictures.
Know what's funny? I tried to buy some L's today because I wanted to spend em. Duh. And my limit is evidently $10 a day (what idiot thought that up?) and so, I put in $10 right? And it gives me 2600L which is $10.30...so I figured someone would've been smart enough to let me spend that extra quarter and nickle, or 3 dimes or 30 pennies or 6 nickles or whatever. Nope..I can't even spend .30 over my fricken limit...what the heck?!

I was thinking that LL should allow us to submit pictures and slurls for the start splash. I think that would be a great program for the customers to get involved in.

Well..it's a limit, not a suggestion. I've yet to see any financial thingy with soft limits, as either way someone would say 'Oh hey, it lets me get that 30 cents, but not 31, what the heck, cheapo!' and it would go on until there were no limits.
Anyhow, give it a day or so and it should go up.

At least some of the pictures hints that LL are accepting megaprims.

Bracken Ahem. They never stopped accepting megaprims. You just cant create new ones anymore. But I see quiet talented builders use their libraries of mega and ultra prims every day.

No, the were allowing them, never accepting them. This is why the change from client to server. This why a year or so ago we had a blog from a Linden lamenting on what to do with them. This is why there is so much controversy over them. I stand by my original statement, it is nice to now see them accept them.

I once saw about 1000 sim-sized prims stacked in such a way that every structure in the sim disappeared completely and it took the sim owner hours to clean it up. The solution of course is to make write access a little more granular. By that I mean this: that megaprims can only be rezzed either in "sandboxes in good standing" (the sort that aren't hotbeds for omega ball testing for example) or on land that's owned by the rezzer. This sort of fine access control is already built into the underlying operating system and could be used without too much trouble.

Land tools -> Return objects by owner As for the idea with sandboxes: Sandboxes are being watched by third party groups such as Justice League, ProActive and Gridwatch because the sandboxes are not being supervised properly by LL themselves. The idea with Megaprim restrictions as you are bringing in this post does not work, will not work, and will therefor not happen. I must say I appreciate your attempt at giving feedback on the issue, but it really can not work as you're describing Regards, Vixus Snowpaw. SL Guru.

Limiting mega prims would hurt alot of us that use them for production settings and amoung other things. so voting no to this idea too

Whatever happened to my original idea of finding out the location of these splash screen places? Like that train depot...
