Preview doesn't work for me

Ok, I figured it was about time I asked this question because I'm really baffled. I am able to play second life just fine.. have been for almost a year now, but every time I have tried to check out any of the previews, it never works for me.. I always get the exact same thing,... "Login Failed. Please make sure your caps lock key is off and that you have the correct account name and password"... and well... it is, and I do. lol... Just re-downloaded the preview yesterday and tried again... still the same result.  Thanks for any help... ~Deja |

The preview uses a user database snapshot from august the 1st i believe although this seems to vary to august the 17th depending on who you talk too, so if you have changed your password between now and then, try using the password you were using in august.
Your name is listed in the finder, so i guess it just needs the password fiddling with if its changed often

Yes next week they will be updating the database, and preview will be down for a few days, then all people born before sept 24th will be able to access

I very much doubt that another update will happen considering that only happened a few weeks ago and by then preview had already been up for a month or so, and at this stage they wont want to loose any development time as they get closer to a release by having to have the grid down for 3-4days

i still cant get on is it up yet it gives me the caps error so the database of ppl wasent really updated just the game part of it sort of misleading??? this sucks and i really wanted to do the preview thing

Nope updating to the software and sim version, which is the same when they update the main grid, the user accounts and database is seperate, and was last announced in a seperate type of post

When I use the Preview, my computer literally reboots after 5 minutes. Only when I use the preview grid.
