We haven't heard anything about this, or been able to test it, or known whats going on with it... so... whats up?

What's it do? What's it going to look like? Can we test it? What options will we have? Will we be able to search profiles on the web? Is it accessable to only Residents or can anyone see profiles?

Nothing but an option at the moment, its available for profile, groups and land so will have to wait and see

After in put from Nathan on my Feature Suggestion post, I got the thinking and my best guess would be an out of world find menu, with opt-in opt-out..

But is only a guess.. I've posted on hotline about removal of classifieds and if we'll be able to browse them without being in-world, might get word there..

The explanation given in the dialog box that appears when you click on the button labeled with the question mark to the right of the Mature checkbox says:

From: SL message box

Selecting the "Publish on the Web" option allows us to publish your name, image, and About text on the Second Life website. You are responsible for indicating if any of the above is considered Mature accourding to the Community Standards.

So far, profile content is required to be PG, since all items such as group names, titles, charters, etc. which are broadly visible are subject to PG content constraints. This is a significant change that merits some attention.
