Anyone else lost most of their friends?

Just logged in in the new version, and eureka, a new problem is born. Most of my friendslist is gone. I only have my partner and two of my friends on it, the rest disappeared, As support is non existent (well that is what I call it when you email support, and only get an answer a week later), I have no idea when this will be solved.

Anyone with the same problem?

yep ... finally managed to logon and guess what ... all my friends are gone.

The usual pathetic attempt at an upgrade by Linden. I've never seen such incompetance in my life. This even beats Microsoft.

Maybe it's because nobody likes you, Carl? Doing nothing but complaining all the time will do that.

Friends lists are slow - it just takes a while.

I didnt lose all my friends but noone's showing up as online....and I know they're on cuz they're standing right in front of me. Website says that 0 friends are online as well.

EDIT: And don't tell me it takes a while cuz I've been logged on for 3+ hours.

Yes all 500 of my friends stopped playing sl today. Or maybe that rapture thing happend or something. I've been online 3 hours and I see 4 people on the list and 2 of those imed me not knowing if i was online or not. So there is a work around IM all your friends and ask them if there online.

Oh if you look at the fine print on the friends list on the website it says friends list has been temporarily disabled. So whenever temporary is over I'll come back. I think that must be why the numbers listed as being on line are so low. What's the point of being here if you can't see your friends.

Strangely enough, I just now logged in to find people on my friends list that to my knowledge have never even offered me friendship, let alone me having accepted it. Not that I mind, they are pretty cool people, but... How odd.

Another note...earlier I had 2 new friends pop up on my friends list. Here's how they were listed...

Lucky me, my friends list seems to still be there, but not everyone who was on showed as such. I was more alarmed by the fact that my group listed dates of last logon but no names... very odd.

No friends and my sofa isnt red anymore.

Friend list didn't work for me right after the upgrade, but I logged in about 40 mins. ago and it was fine.

I had that too. If you clicked and opend the profiles they ARE actual contacts, but..."hippo?"

Its been 24 hours ... i still see 15 friends instead of my usual 70-80. How long should i wait Sindy?

If you take ur car in to have the engine fixed and it comes back with the engine fixed but the transmission bust what would u think if the mechanic says "well, stop complaining we fixed the engine"?

If no-one complained about any SL issues, would anything get fixed? How would LL even know?

No, Friends isn't working for me or any of the people I talked to last night. I'm disappointed to see no mention of this in the Issues listed as being worked on in the Blog. I would think this should rank as a Number ONE Priority.

Please Add your vote to this page if your friends list matters to you. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-142 I think thats the right place. Logging on and seeing no friends listed is very depressing. I turned on notififications just so i'd know if anyone showed up while I was online. The first seven notifications I got said someone had just logged off. Well that's even more depressing. People I had no clue were online left already. I'm going back to bed, fix this please.

somebody who fails to understand the issue. God i love fangals. The point is friends have disappeared from the list online or offline, groups have blank members etc. I had to readd a couple but hey thanks lindens for helping me clear out my list.

Its not a case of lag and its not just a case of people not showing online.
Notice that the friends online web page dont work either and the fact they removed the rankings we know they tinkered in this area.

"Hippo" is an old SL joke (it shows up instead of (waiting) on and off). Just for anyone who didn't know.

I saw yesterday that it depends on which sim you are at the moment in, too.
I therefore restarted my sim and ... worked again.
So maybe ask the sim owner to restart the region?
But what happened to the Friends online feature on the web-page? Will it ever show up again? ...temporarily disabled ..

No trouble with friends list after the first downtime yesterday but after the "fix" this morning, my friends list has turfed just like the others on this thread.

And yes, I hope the friends online is fixed too - I usually check to see if its worth logging in to chat to people I know
