I haven't upgraded to the latest version yet...still thinking about it. It's just that lately SL seems to be running pretty well for me and I don't want to jinx anything. My computer setup isn't all that powerful so I don't want my poor little laptop to go into shock..
Just wondering if there are any huge advantages to upgrading to the latest version.

The newer version for me crash less often otherwis no huge differeces other than windlight.

You could install the upgrade to a new folder, then if it doesn't work you can fall back on your old install.

I'm switching back and forth almost at random between the current standard client and the Release Candidate version. I go to the RC version when I am thinking of using or testing the new Search. It's OK so far for most other things, but I don't have a very strong reason to use it yet, otherwise.
I've tried and uninstalled the Windlight First Look a couple of times. It just won't run well enough on my older systems to be worth using.
