Last night I went and cleaned up a large area on my sim, removing tons of scripts and items.. got the scripts down to like 800ish, MS down to around 7.8-8ish.. was over 10MS.
Great Improvement in my eyes..

Ok today, deploy of new version, (NOTHING NEW ADDED TO MY SIM)
Scripts over 1050, MS running ( peaking 11-12) .. Nothing changed since last night on my end!

Ok, so had a talk to a Linden as follows:

Island_Projects: hi Maggie, question about todays sim update.. last night I cleared out a Warehouse got my sim scripts down to like 880 and MS of around 8, now today ( nothing new added) and after update my sim is running over 1k scripts and MS hitting between 10-12.. any help as why this changed and was it the update?
Maggie: Hi - are you getting the script number from Top Scripts, or from the Statistics Bar? :)
Island_Projects: top scripts if I go to status bar its even higher
Maggie: And which region is it? :)
Island_Projects: Animations Rising
Island_Projects: and I have restarted the sim since the update
Maggie: Are you noticing any increase in lag, in addition to the higher script times? It's possible that they're just recalculating them differently, but that it's not hurting performance directly.
Island_Projects: not major no, but it does concern me that I am running higher even after removing so much off the sim last night
Island_Projects: esp when I Had MS down to like 8 and that was high peak, now its peaking 11-12
Island_Projects: just makes no sense
Maggie: Okay. It's very likely that most of the change is coming from the server code update, yes, particularly if you haven't added much in the way of new scripts today. But, the indicator for performance might be different, in the sense that a 12ms time isn't as bad as it used to be. Possibly. :)
Maggie: It's possible that they're calculating it differently.
Island_Projects: nothing new was added since last night
Island_Projects: well still that leaves me quessing that isnt giving me a total answer
Island_Projects: I work hard to keep my sim not laggy
Island_Projects: I have the art sim next door to RAW and which runs alot of scripts cause of art.. and I have kept that to 2.8MS 400ish scripts
Island_Projects: but now its running so high here Im scared to add more or new vendors
Maggie: The script time doesn't necessarily mean that it's laggy, though.
Island_Projects: but can someone not give me a 100% answer on yes the new server code changed how its reading
Island_Projects: atm Im just hearing maybe/possible
Maggie: Just at this moment, no, not a 100% answer. We just deployed it today, and we're still monitoring the results. We do test the code before we deploy it, but it's more or less impossible to test it in every situation that people use regions for in SL. :) But we're definitely investigating it.
Island_Projects: Ok please do, because I knew this new update was coming.. so last night I went in and removed ALOT of scripts/items, got it way down.. now after thid deploy today its as if I changed nothing
Island_Projects: and I watched my readings last night for almost a hr. after I removed
Island_Projects: and it was a major imporvoement
Island_Projects: anyway ty and if you might pass this on to someone, it really is a concern to me and right now I dont even want to add another merchant here because of vendor scripts going so high.. and that alone is messing with business :(

Now, my question is.... if they changed how scripts preform and its making them read higher, yet they can't give me a 100% answer as to how this effects my sim.. how am I as a business owner suppose to feel?

Atm, I am now scared to add new merchants/vendors... scared to even add any of my own!
Did anyone else see notice this change on there sim?

TY
( May IM me in world if you like )

This is the release of 1.25 you are talking about correct?
We also have been experiencing a large increase in lag. Especially after sim runs for 24 hours. Its like it loses it memory after a short time and the bottom drops out on it.. The fps can dip down to 1 and stay there for a long time and not recover unless we restart it.
As far as the scripts are concerned, we used to show around 600 scripts in the Top scripts window.. But now showing around 1200. I think our MS is about the same tho. I know they have added some new data collection to scripts in this version to determine a set limitation for homesteads and open space sims. But I am not sure this is really the cause of the lag.
It is really hard to tell what it is. But even getting a streight answer from LL is like pulling teeth from a mule.

There has been a significant change and reduction of the quality of service thats for sure.

My wife started a JIRA on our current issues. If your are related and similar please vote

hey!

dont know if its the same problem

full sim - private estate
9745 objects
34 active objects
160 active scripts (me and sim)

serversoftware 1.24.x
sim was steady (99%) at
time dilation 1.00
sim fps 45
physics fps 45 (44.8 - 44.9)
scripttime 0.3 - 0.5 ms
estate tools - top scripts 40 - 60

the switch to serversoftware 1.25.4(1.25.5) has caused cyclic "lag"
sim runs at
a - (30%) time dilation 1.00/sim fps 45/physics fps 45/total frametime 22.2ms
and for no reason
b - (70%) time dilation drops down to 0.88/sim fps 38/physics fps 38/total frametime ~ 24.0 - 25.0 ms
c - sim recovers to "a" and a new cycle starts (a-b-c, a-b-c, a-b-c, ....)

scripttime now is at 0.5 - 0.6 ms
estate tools - top scripts 60 - 80

scripts arnt compiled to mono
i have changed nothing on sim between the rolling restart to server v.1.25.4(1.25.5)
viewer 1.20.17 - mac

Thank you both for the reply, and hoping other sim owners will as well. Yes this applies to both versions 1.24 & 1.25 .. I have another friend that owns CDD sim, his's stats totally went out the window and 0 changes on his end.
He could not even keep the sim running it kept crashing. Finally a Linden came in said they placed him on a new server... well cool, but still 0 change, stopped the crashes for him, but stat wish no change.
They did the same for me, did NOTHING for my stats!

There are many others I have spoken to as well on this and all complaining of the very same issues... NO way this is due to sim owners items on there sims.. this is purely something SL did..
