When I read the post heading under the main list of forums for "SL Answers", that said "The End of BUMPS!" I thought it was going to be something good. I thought it meant the end of jumping around when talking, but the Linden just thought of those in terms of "bumps," rather than "jumps." I should have known. The excitement in that post title is about SHUTTING US UP. Not giving us something useful. I can't tell you how this pisses me off. I can't remember, did Robin say that this return to jumping when talking was intended? Or are they going to fix that? coco

I don't understand why this pisses you off. She says that duplicate bumping increases the amount of time it takes to answer a question. They are trying to do something to streamline their work. And they are informing us of it. I don't recall her saying shut up. Just not repeating what's already been said because someone wants to stamp their feet for attention. I don't know what type of job you have but I think you have some unrealistic expectations of what normal people can do in the course of 8 hours. I wish you a nice pleasant day without negativity. I think you deserve one. From: Cocoanut Cookie When I read the post heading under the main list of forums for "SL Answers", that said "The End of BUMPS!" I thought it was going to be something good. If he/she means that those backlogged questions will still be answered, then he should have said that. However, bumping has long been a last resort in the SL Answers forum, because questions have been overlooked and disappeared farther into the past, going unanswered. Indeed, he/she advised us, rather than bumping, to holler into various other bottomless echoing pits for answers. People have on occasion resorted to bumping them because that happens, and that does indeed increase their chances of being answered. To my knowledge, very few people if anyone have ever abused the "bumping" ability in the SL Answers forum. However, now that you put this read on the thing, that may be what was intended. Just very poorly written. Along with a lack of knowledge about what actually gets answered using those other routes. What I do for a living is none of your concern, and the issue is hardly what any one person does for a living, much less what any one person can do in 8 hours. The issue is more accurately a job that plain old isn't being done very well by anyone. In which case they should get rid of "SL Answers" and be done with it, rather than doing it in an abysmal, shipshod, and insulting manner. How's that for negativity? coco P.S. I'm still wanting to know, is this jumping around a bug to be fixed, or a feature?

On the plus side, Kelly gets kudos for answering my question, and clearing up intent on the "no bumps" post.

I just asked, but now I see some people prefer negativity. Sorry for bothering you. Have a nice day. Enjoy your negativety, dwell in it. I am glad you got an answer that satisfied you. BTW, Kelly said the same thing that Robin said in the first post. I don't know why Kelly's version satisfied you and Robin's "pissed you off"?
