Hi,

I know there are database problems affecting teleporting, but could the "could not complete your teleport request in a timely fashion" message be removed, so that the system will wait for the database for as long as it takes?

Managing to teleport eventually, even if it was in an untimely fashion, is better than nothing. Of course, let the user cancel manually if they want to, but don't just have the system cop out. :)

I agree, especially if you're trying to leave a REALLY laggy simulator, it keeps timing out because of the lag, you're leaving because the idiot running the island is allowing 60+ people onto it despite the fact it can't cope, you expect it to be slow, timing out isn't an issue. A prompt instead perhaps? "Teleport is not completing in a timely fashion, would you like to continue waiting?" for the first time only.

I was going to say "I've got mixed feelings about this" but Haravikk's idea has merit.

I'd also like to ask that SL *NOT* blank the damn screen when you're teleporting. Freeze it if you have to, but until you've contected the remote sim even that shouldn't be necessary.
