I am rather new to SL, only a month old. Recently I have taken up the task of trying to edit some of the items i have in my inventory that i wear during my daily SL. Simple items, such as rings, that i just need to re-size and/or reposition on my avatar for a better fit.
Today, for example, I have crashed probably 9 or 10 times in the last couple of hours. As I stated I am just doing simple re sizing and repositioning small items to better fit on my avatar. I am not creating new items and it does not matter whether i am in the actual edit mode or when i am done editing the items and trying to rename them, to improve the organization of my over 7,000 items (yes, i am a freebie junkie). These crashes occur constantly, and it has become quite a headache.
Some of these items i have made copies of, such as a ring, so i can wear one on each hand.
Also, it seem my client is crashing more often as well, and at random time's for no apparent reason. I know i am not the only resident effected by this because i have spoken to several people in-game and they are also experiencing this same problem as well.
As the Knowledge base stated that your computer must be up to date as far as drivers, I do keep my computer updated. I am checking my hardware manufacturers websites daily for updated drivers. So this may not be the issue. I did not have this problem with the 1 or 2 previous version of the SL client software.
Is anyone else having these any problems as well?
