Im Very Upset. Phase Shifter Dead!

I used my phase shifter shield for ages and all of a sudden this update killed it.
My scripted products are not working properly and customers are pist off.
The game is hardly playable at all in many sims as they dont even load.
The new im box is strange and I dont care for it.
The bright highlighting around the prims when in edit mode sometimes makes it hard
to even see what prim you have selected not sure I like it much.
Many scripts are acting very stange and many people are very upset about it.
VERY DISAPOINTED.

I was simply making it known that now many people can be shot out of there sims when
trying to chill out with friends because there (security shields) no longer work.
These are bugs that need to be out in the open and not get stupid responces back that think its all a joke. You can set back and dance in your dance clubs and watch this all fly over but I make money off this game / Its a bussiness for me/So I find no humur in it at all.

You must not script. So you dont see there is a problem here due to the scirpts
This effects you / You think it dont and its just a simple set on a cube and its all fixed.
But your wrong. The code that is used to make that sheild makes other items you
care about . So you will be here posting soon with complaints soon and ill come find
them and post responces back just like you did.

Actually, I do script.
Sometimes things don't work, and that's ok, I find ways around them.
I tend not to whine about it here though because of the responsed it would get. Much like this thread...

Anyway, I'll leave it now. Someone might have something more constructive to say. I doubt it, but they might.

If this shield involves making the avatar phantom using llVolumeDetect then that itself was a bug, and as you say they have fixed the bugs. llVolumeDetect will no longer make an avatar phantom

And I don't hang out in Jesse, or get involved in shootouts, or any other such silliness.
I did use the phantom bug though. It was a good way to get from the telehub, to wherever you were going. Without getting stuck on the myriad of solid objects that you can't even see before you hit them.

Suddenly, you are just stuck, and you can't even see what you are stuck on. Then when you try to move to get unstuck, you're stuck on something else you can't see. Yo can't see it of course because it hasn't rezzed yet.
So, the solutions to this are simple right?

1. Fly higher! Except things seem to be possible to be built at any height, and as you fly or cross sim borders you come closer to the ground.

2. Slow down, and wait for the objects in the sim to rez. Sure, that would work, but then why not just walk to wherever you are going? (addressed in solution 3)

3. Why not just walk? A very doable solution, except that you could walk to the corner resturaunt, order a meal, sit down, eat, have desert, pay, tip the waitress, relieve yourself in the bathroom, walk home, in the time that it takes to walk to a store or event in sl. Prolly time to brush your teeth and rinse once you get home as well. Oops, I forgot...if you take the 45 minutes or so to do that, you still won't be at your destination in sl. You have to sit at your keyboard all that time to walk that distance. For once, getting there is not half the fun.

So, all of that said, yes...I think fixing the phasing bug was a mistake. Even though it was a bug. But never one to find a problem but offer no solution, here are my thoughts for a new feature. Scrap the broken telehub concept...exacerbated by the massive lag and unregulated building. Then allow players to teleport directly to a landmark of their choice.

Naw, flaming isn't needed...we'll jsut take a flame thrower to Andrew for plugging said and suposed exploits :D or we can all file abuse reports for unwanted entrappment everytime a building rezzes around us and we have to hunt our way out of the impeding monolith

Phantom shields would be great, of only they didn't work over damage land. I went to Rausch many times during 1.6 and everyone had them. People would just sit there and shoot each other all day and it wouldn't work. These shields rendered combat completely boring.

Over non-damage land, I think there ought to be a way to be phantom.
