My husband purchased one of the aforementioned cards to use while playing Conan. Unfortunately, in SL, it seems to draw inappropriate textures, especially in clothing layers (other than underwear.) I've tried every driver set Nvidia has, along with many of the beta ones offered at guru3d (the advice of a fellow SL resident who's better versed in these things) and the issue occurs in all of them, where many clothing textures show the entire length possible (pants all have ankle cuffs, jackets make your legs totally grey since they extend over the pants layer and just draws a blank grey texture there, etc..) related info below https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957

Looks like that ought to be a very good card. But it is also very new, and looks like the drivers still have some bugs that affect Second Life. Hopefully new drivers will come out soon.
Meanwhile, you may want to try different variations of the graphics settings for SL. It may be that some simple change like turning hardware skinning off or on, or assigning less VRAM than the huge amount that the card actually has, may resolve the issue.

have tried *all* of that in quite a few variations, unfortunately. Think it has to do with SL just not recognizing the card itself, which is an issue that I read somewhere is slated to be fixed with the 1.21 viewer. Maybe I can let him try to put it back in then, and see if it draws everything normally.
