I was to download with latest version have windlight. What I have gotten is 1980's pixel video game. I cannot see anyone typing over 3 meters away. I cannot see anyone' s avatar over 5 meters away. I have sought endlessly for advice to no avai. Someone suggested that I use Dazzel. Dazzel is not a lot better than the windlight version but god enough. Well, I was about to sign in through Dazzel and it REQUIRED me to download latest version .. AGAIN!
I am using MAX. Will someone please.. pretty please help me with this? It have gotten to hte point where it is not so much fun going into SL anymore and I m finding away falling away from it.

I've lost count of how many 'updates' SL has had over the past 4 years
 . If this was any other platform, which people paid to use, the company would have gone bust. THE only excuse is, it's cutting edge..... I suspect if there was an alternative (and there soon will be) SL would be virtually shut down by now.I have come to the conclusion that, there are only 100 bits that can be working at any one time, the 'updates' are to keep moving those 100 things about, so we are fooled into thinking, all is progressive.  j/k.BTW, if you leave, can I have your stuff?  _____________________

What a misery this latest version is. Not ever have I experienced so many crashes a day.
Would love to get the previous one back, but strangely enough they say you have the option whether to install the new version or not, but if I don't the program won't start. Now that's what I call freedom of choice! Furthermore, in the latest version it is not possible anymore to drag a preferred color to an empty box in the edit texture window. And I cannot see my friends on the map either (now I can find all my landmarks... what fun). The top bar is light blue of color, but in mouselook it gets so dark that it's almost impossible to read. Maybe not the most graphics horsepower but capable prior to the upgrade. I tried rolling back but the old version crashes within secon. I |
