3:28PM SLT - 48,476 people online. And the usual weekend crap has started already, 150+ prim build decides to unlink itself, prims within 10m's of each other now report "unable to link peices too far apart" even tho they are within a fully linked box ( I'm building a holo deck scene atm), and linked quite happly a few hours ago . I'm sick of this micky mouse bullshit, it has me close to tears, all I want to do is build something! I find it dishartning (now thats an understatment) that I spend my time bothering to use this program to do something creative only to have it ruined by random behaviour and other assorted buggyness. We have in the UK consumer law that says a product should be fit for purpose, this is software is NOT fit for purpose. If you (Linden Labs) are worried about the legal ramifcations of going global worry about that one !

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_MousePejorative use of Mickey's name "Mickey Mouse" is a slang expression meaning small-time, amateurish or trivial. In the UK, it also means poor quality or counterfeit. EDIT::: As an update I managed to finish my build linking it into a number pf peices, took it back into inventry where it unexplainably turned no mod no copy no trans. I, me, the person who made the damned thing, coulden't even edit it ! so thats two days, about 40 hours of solid work gone.

This is why I gave up building. I was trying two link to halfs of a building that linked just fine before but the last time it mangled all the pieces together in a twisted mess. Looked like a tornado hit it. After loosing that 3-4hrs of work enough was enough. That was over 6 month ago. Not as patient as you.

It's the lack of consistancy that realy winds me up, I have builds of 30M's in length that link quite happly yet there are times that linking two peices that are touching is impossible. on sunday night there was over 50K people online so I asumed the load was the problem and went to bed. Now monday morning there is less than 30K on and I'm still having the same shit happen.!!!! My current build is 22Mx20Mx21m (a holodeck) on thursday it linked fine all the scripts were working and I started building scenes for it. At first it was working fine then the scenes started unlinking themselves, permisions changed leaving me with uneditable objects and now to cap it all the holodeck itself has unlinked itself. It linked a few days ago quite happly but now it's in peices and is totaly useless, All I want is some consistancy in the way this damned program works !!!! If I knew what the limits were I could adapt to them but when this kind of crap happens .... well what can you do ? I think my next project is going to be a large butterfly net. Then I'm going to go and catch me a whole bunch of Lindens and stick them in a cage on my building plot so they can see the crap that happens inworld.

What's even more annoying is when you do something such as move a prim a meter or two, or even change texture parameters, but they undo themselves repeatedly after...then it usually takes 10+ tries to do something so simple. LL needs to get it's act together. I'm sick of them boasting, "OH LOOK LOL WE'RE FIXIN' ALL DESE GLITCHES!" when they're clearly a bunch of obscure coding glitches we don't care about. I don't see LL fixing glitches like that, or the f**ked up transparencies, or the ones listed above.
