This is great. I downloaded the optional viewer today thinking that some bug fixes would be nice. But what do I get????!!!!! I have edited 4 objects and have had the new improved client crash 3 times when I open up an edit window. Good God! make that 4 crashes out of 5 times trying to edit something. and these crashes are not bringing up a crash report window. this is just great. i shiver thinking of Wednesdays update.

Me too .I am crashing on edit more often than not. Also the Ambient sound script I use is all messed up and sounds either do not play or loop so quickly they are unusuable.

Is there anyplace to download the older version so I can use SL tonight?

Not crashing! Sorry to gloat! Edit my current build for 1 hours with no problems - linking, unlinking, resizing, creating texturing, etc. all work fine.

ATI x1650 AGP.

I wonder what the LL developers use?

At least they start this on Monday instead of Wednesday or Friday and go home!

Same story here--every time I try to edit a rezzed object (doesn't seem to happen if I'm wearing it, but everything else does), I immediately crash. I'm guessing this will continue until the Wednesday patch, if not for longer. >_<

Yes, crashing on edit. Total nuisance.

I almost thought i was alone,
or that the region i was building in was failing ,
NOW i knwo i was not alone, nor was it the regions fault..
ITS SL fault for releasing BAD UPDATES and letting TO MANY NEW THINGS IN BEFORE OTHER THINGS ARE WORKING PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there i think i made a point ...
Sl team get your "CURRENT" client working before doing upgrades to it..
This really sucks adn is quickly getting fead up..
WE want answers.. Give them to us!!!!!! NOW..

sorry peeps Not my intention to moan down your throaths, but i fear many of you are feeling the same way, , ,

Yes I am having this issue as well. But for me it is not necessarily every time. I have seen it happen after logging in, take a object to inventory then right click to do another and a crash occurs. Also I notice that when I try to log right back in I get a "unable to log in region is in log out process". Try a few seconds later and no further issues.

I have also noticed this moving the camera around.

I crash as well upon editing about 20 times yesterday. My partner was having the same issue as well.

Submit bug report too
06-26-2007 10:56
Voting on the JIRA is a good idea. But it doesn't ring a bell in the machine room. Be sure to submit a bug report too.

Actually not quite true Lee, if you look at the jira issue you'll find response, actions and reactions from Lindens there. So voting does work :-)

Thank you, I was about ready to curse LL once again thinking that building would be at an end for now.

Complete update in the blog
06-26-2007 13:27
Hello all,
As has been noted by another post, this issue has been discussed in the blog. The blog post includes a link to the associated Public JIRA issue, as well as links to the previous viewer versions. We have also tracked this bug down and it will be included in tomorrow's viewer update. Thanks to all of you for voting via the Public JIRA system to bring this to our attention quickly!
