Presence / give inventory what a mess

So i have a friend of mine online he sends me something it goes

[4:36] User not online - inventory has been saved.
[4:36] Thili Playfair is Offline
[4:36] IM: Second Life: User not online - message will be stored and delivered later.

so i send him a msg and he get this >

[4:37] IM: Thili Playfair: -.-

hey guess what he doesnt show offline for me,
soo... he send me a message again and get

[4:41] Second Life: User not online - message will be stored and delivered later.

This thing ever going to get fixed?

yes, I see this all the time. Usually while I'm having conversations, the other person will reply and it goes to offline, and I never see it. then I think they never replied, and it leads to a lot of confusion.

But even more irritating is how it affects business. Someone buys an item, the server sends it, but guess what, it goes to offline. so then they IM me saying they never got it, when my server shows it was sent. So now i've taken to making everyone relog before I will give them an item which 'wasn't sent'. Needless to say many aren't thrilled about that.

I have "offline -> email" turned on, so I've been on the other side of that and been able to catch what I missed and continue.
