how to play with p2p teleport features without land?

anyone on the preview grid want to put some land up for sale? I want to play with the p2p tp features, but since I don't own any land on the preview grid I can't. I only have $5000L but I don't need a huge plot.

Do land sales on the preview grid affect tier?

When I was there a couple of days ago, the system would let you mark a teleport target anywhere, whether you owned the land it stood on or not.

hmm...for me the p2p options are grayed out.

What I'm really curious about are the teleport routing choices, can't get to the drop down menu, also can't set the tp points.

I just bought up some of the normal land that was for sale, have done the teleport test which doesnt require any land, and have also tested the landing points for myself

The routing choices are landing point, anywhere or blocked

You can set a landing point as usual for events etc and then set teleport routing to anywhere if you want p2p to work fully etc or set it to landing point so they land on the same point and obviously banned will shove them on the closest parcel, offered teleports are a different part of the teleport system and therfore overide these settings

that's the problem though, there are only like 5 plots for sale and they are at least $10,000L I only have just over $5. There are other plots for sale but you can't get to them...it's like the grid is much smaller than the map is showing.

Well the preview grid is only about 20 sims or so and they're all backups of pre-existing sims (wich is kinda disapointing since I thought it'd be like 1.7Pre with a handful of blank sims to work with). So its not so much of it being the grid is smaller, its just no blank sims were established for messing with land options.

It was a kind of mini grid to test the teleport code, as you can see there is a slice in the middle of the grid, then on the right there is a line of 7 sims if you look at the test after 6 sims the code acts in another way in a conventional hub, there are other special provided sims for the other sims, like p2p enabled and disabled, with and without landing points, also with agent limits of 1, also there was some land available and earlier more was made available when the last preview version was released.

The Lindens promised land up for sale and more money in our accounts. Neither happened.

Ok so it did happen, however, it appears that buying preview land will add to your main grid tier?? Hope this was just another "oversight" and not them trying to get more tier charges out of people wanting to test the preview grid.

I had L$30,000 when I logged in a minute ago, and there was a whole sim of land for sale.. But we can't buy it without, Sale Pending *growlz*

no wont add to main grid tier, but you need sufficient free tier on the copied over account to own land, this can be done by taking contributions away from groups as it wont affect the main grid land or ask a linden to bump up you tier in preview
