Is anyone else having trouble teleporting after installing the latest viewer 1.18.0(6)?
Since installing the latest viewer, every single time I try to teleport anywhere the TP progress bar comes up for a few seconds (attempting to TP) but then I get kicked out of SL with the message, "You have been logged out of Second Life, etc..." popping up. I've tried teleporting to/from about 10 different sims, including Hibdon, Davros, Krilencu, Ambat, Kishijoten, Phasmogore, Sakaw, Chelsea, Stamper, plus a few others, and get logged out every time.
When I log back into SL I'm usually in the place that I asked to TP to before I got kicked out ('Start Location' in 'Preferences' is set to 'My Last Location'), but a couple of times I've ended up somewhere totally random!
I sent a Support Request to SL Support who replied, "Are you using any firewall software or software like PeerDefender, which can block access? If not then please file a bug report." So I turned off my MS Windows Firewall (XP Professional, SP2), thinking that it might be a firewall issue, but I still keep having the same TP problems. I don't have any other software that could potentially block access, so I'm puzzled.
In a last ditch attempt, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled SL (just on the off-chance) but this hasn't solved the problem either. I've reported this as a bug but I'd be interested to know if anyone else out there has the same problem... or maybe even a solution? Thanks.

I haven't had that problem, but when you are uninstalling SL, are you completly deleting it? including the folder in the program files? If not, might give that a shot.. Just a thought Jez

I've also recently noticed that I can TP within the same sim okay - it's when I try to TP to another sim that the problem occurs. My SL log shows 404 errors when I try to do this. Am I correct in thinking that since SL now communicates, at least in part, via HTTP that this is significant as 404 means the destination server cannot be contacted. Our broadband router (between the cable modem and the PC) is configured to allow all outbound traffic without exception and deny uninitiated inbound connections, but initiated is allowed. It's been set up this way for months and SL had been working okay without any TP issues... but then viewer 1.18.0.6 came along If you are having problems with TP with the current viewer, there is also a 'Teleporting? thread in the 'Technical Issues' forum which may be helpful to you. Unfortunately, for me, none of the suggestions in there worked for me... sigh...

Sigh... I've tried EVERYTHING and SecondLife still crashes every time I try to teleport or cross over to other sims. I've had this problem since July, after v1.18.0 (6) was rolled out, and its now September and I'm still not having any luck. I agree with Tabitha (see 'Technical Issues' forum), things are just getting worse and I'm about to give up on SecondLife too. The above bug combined with unacceptable down time, several other bugs, and poor customer service, is just making the SL experience unbearable for me My annual subscription ends in November and, unless things improve significantly between now and then, I won't be wasting any more money on SL... sorry to say it but why should I pay for something that doesn't work properly. Hope you guys have better luck with SL than I'm having.
