When I load HELP with F1, I see http://www.true.com, an online dating service. Has HELP been spammed? Is anyone else seeing this?
EDIT: according to Dan Linden, the answer is "YES." HELP got spammed.
To me, it looks like a misconfiguration. It looks like the HtmlHelpHomePage value in settings.xml has been set to "true" and F1 HELP is interpreting that as www.true.com

I use firefox exclusively, I like it for the most part. But if you want an example of a project that doesn't listen to users, that's a big one. _____________________

I decided to check this out, tabbed over to SL and hit F1. Good thing I had my statistics up.....as I watched it freeze...and the screen go white as I tab back here and then back again to check on it....

keep trying.  ...All those who think the browser is a good idea already admit to running SL in a window and having a browser in the background anyway. All this trouble to have a browser running in a window, within a window, when there is a browser behind the window, is just idiocy. They should spend the developement time on making the textures show up first or to document all those times like last night when the grid goes down but they don't even bother to tell anyone. _____________________

I did, eventually, manage to get the help window up. It was properly targeted, it didn't go to True.com or where ever. Looks like I missed out.  |
