This is happening to me a lot with 1.17.3. I teleport, and within a few seconds of arriving - poof, the viewer crashes. Is anyone else experiencing this?

On the positive side, I've not had many teleport failures recently.

This can usually happen when LL are updating the serverside code, in preperation for an update. Its the latency (lag) between the sim servers and the asset servers. When you TP, all the items you are wearing/using, have to be sent in transition between your current sim server and the intended destination, this is pipelined through the grid in caches. Once you arrive, it has to restore those items into the new sim server and send this information across not just that sim, but onto adjoining sims, hence the reason why things take time to rez when you arrive.

The best way to reduce the possibility of the cache timing out and you crashing, is to remove as much excess clothing, accessories, scripted objects etc, before TPing. The same is true will bloated inventories. The smaller your inventory, the quicker things happen, and less frequently you get a crash logger window show up.
