New Search BUG!!!

I started recieving reports today that my high traffic location was no longer showing in search. I found out that to anyone outside the sim, my land no longer shows up in search, but if you are in the sim, it still appears. I have tested this many times. A sim restart did not correct this.

Anyone having a similar issue please go to http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5399 and vote and comment.

Same happens to me ... my business does not list on the new search engine .. and even in the old if you are outside the SIM. This is giving me much trouble and costing me lots of money. :-(

Anyone knows any workaround????

Thankx in advance

Search is messed up between mainland and private islands. If you search while on a private island, the mainland results are omitted, but if you search from mainland all results are shown. There is no work around except for voting for the issue on the public JIRA.

I wish i could help there. It is some magiclal fomula based on profile picks, objects on your parcel and traffic. Not sure what else and I will not pretend to understand it.

This is a huge problem. My business is already being hit hard because half the people no longer see me in search. Some sort of acknowledgement from LL would be nice.

Those who'll tell you don't know, and those who know won't tell.

Yes, but they are working hard on resolving that.

I am so irritated that this has not been mentioned by the Lindens at all.

They use a Google engine, and I'm not sure if anyone at LL fully knows the indexing methodology. They certainly haven't documented it. There is good empirical information in these two threads:
