WTF? I'm in the middle of something IMPORTANT, and the whole of SL just crashes? Again?
what is this?
A simple warning message would have let me save what I was doing (no not building) ...
Grrrr!

Yep I was doing important stuff, next thing I know, SL crashes and logs me off, I then read the announcement SL is doing a rolling restart no warning what so ever.

This is really getting out of hand.......... TUT , TUT and frigging TUT

Has it occured to either of you that a sim CRASH is just that and that there isn't any warning? A sim crashing while there's a rolling restart is no strange occurance either.

Yes I am aware that this is the feedback forum.
I am also aware that by being able to reply to threads in this forum I am capable of saying "It's not possible under certain cirumstances to warn users that the region they are in is about to go down."
Those circumstances being when the sim can't handle something and it explodes. There isn't TIME to warn people, it hit a pothole and it's gone. If you'd like to suggest a way to predict the future in this kind of case, feel free to solve Turing's Halting Problem. Which I'll let you know before you get started, it's been proven unsolvable.

While the Halting Problem is insoluble, making sims that are more robust isn't.

True. See Feature Suggestions for threads on keeping servers from crashing.
