In order to provide an effective deterrent to griefers/hackers who attack and bring down the grid, I suggest that we, as a community, back Linden Labs in a Class Action suit against defined and known griefers that caused grid downtime.
To do this effectively, we would each have to bring evidence of personal loss (value loss, business loss, emotional distress) caused to us as individuals during specific griefing incidents.
A class action suit would provide teeth and certainly make the casual griefer think twice.
Please vote on whether you would be willing to document your personal losses to LL to use as part of this, and then let's approach LL to see if they would be willing to pursue as lead complianant against these individuals who are attempting to ruin our Second Life.

The reason for names being published in the poll is to allow the Lindens to be able to easily contact each of us should this proposal be accepted and acted upon by LL.

I would like to clarify my negative vote, in that it's not that I would not be willing to support LL (as I most certainly would), more that I have suffered no loss that can be documented. I don't think "AvatarX was a pain in the butt on x/x/x day." would help a whole lot. For those of you with high tier, go get 'em.
