OK since about 3PM SLT when SL kicked me off I have had unbelievable problems. I thought I'd post some of them here as I'm sure they're update related. Plus my last email to tech support has gone unanswered (despite reminders) since 11 May! Nice!
~Major lag (like it's not even funny) ~Friends list shows people offline who are actually online ~Group IMs not working ~Inventory taking ages to load ~Weird video problems when zooming in and out (looks like fishbowl effect)
I applied the update hours before and everything was working fine. I noticed since I got kicked off and rebooted and relogged (emptied cache too) that the website and SL still say '0' for the number of people online. And there's no update on this under grid status or the blog. Is this just a problem with European accounts?
Please someone reassure me this will be fixed!

~Alaia Anatine That's not all. last night I was at Caribbean Breezes with friends and I tried to change clothes and my new clothes never loaded. I re-logged and when I came back on I was still wearing the clothes I had just changed out of. Overall, it took almost 20 minutes to change outfits. Both myself and my partner were dismayed to find that when we took off clothes, smudged black lines were traversing the length of our bodies right up our skin. I had horrible problems trying to log in after I initially did the update on my main machine. Today on my laptop, the update crashed three times and then it took me five or six aborted attempts to actually log in once it was completed. I'm terribly sorry but this update appears to have done little to address some very long standing issues, and actually seems to have created more problems with login. We're in the U.S. by the way and were both affected, so I don't think it's specifically Euro accounts...

Be careful what you do right now.
I spent a good deal of time this afternoon creating a folder with subfolders and lots of objects in it. When I logged back on, it was gone. Found a renamed folder: ****, with only half of what I put in the original. Clear cache didn't work. It's a good thing these were all my own objects and copy, and even better I hadn't started scripting them yet.

I didn't even think about how badly things could go with routine operations. I just put my tier money into my account and paid tier on all of my parcels not even considering that I could have lost the money. Fortunately I didn't but two of the payments didn't go through the first time because the server timed out. Scary...

Logged back in later and I was back to being a male though.

Isn't that what everybody refers to as "being Ruthed"? When you appear as some poorly defined, newbie shaped, naked old woman?

Good news are I didn't crash today, lol. But that's all. I deleted an object three times, it's still there. Recent items takes about 1-2 hours to display items. The rest is lag like i've never had. At least one thing seems to work better than some month ago: tp'ing. And most strangely I see one friend online. I shouldn't see anybody with that problems, my friend that is standing next to me isn't showing up at all, lol.

05-24-2007 17:24
I don't think for as much as my partner and i pay to play this game its sad that in the hours that have passed today NOT ONE MENTION OF WHAT IS GOING ON OR WHAT IS BEING DONE TO CORRECT the situation has come to pass or be posted.
Shame on you LL, hopefully it will be fixed soon, but you owe us an explanation so we can plan our lives and businesses accordingly...
Will be watching the "BLOGS" intently for an update, and we all hope your not all on the company yaught having one heck of a good time, over this holiday weekend, leaving your paying customers to the aliens..that have come to habit this place, were all gray and fugly

That's a shame.
Instead of organizing contests on new sculpted prims, LL should better care about issues generated since last patch.. It's now nearly impossible to play.
- Entire friendlist marked offline - Group notification unavailable - Group IM unavailable - Major lag a bit everywhere - Sudden crashs with some graphic cards when VBO enabled when moving avie - Some other unexpected crashes
Using voting proposals to make some event notices is NOT a solution.
[EDIT]
Oh, I forgot the presentation page not showing online eople, the range restriction when talking, 10 m is too short, ect

Yeah, this is the worst update for me so far - I'm having many of the same problems. My favorite new "feature" is when I rez an item and it lands about 10-20m away from where I tried to put it.
And to top it all off, my store sales in the past two days have dropped to about a third of what they were before the update. I've only been in business a few months, but my sales have never dropped that drastically after an update. My sim isn't laggy for me, but other folks say it's awful now.

Yet another update manages to introduce more bugs than it fixes... but never mind that, no need to worry folks, because we have sculpties *sigh*
Here is my list so far...
1/ 0 people showing online at login screen 2/ Friends online list is broken - again 3/ Group IM's are slow and coming up with error messages 4/ Group Notices are not working at all 5/ Unable to create new clothing in Edit Appearance 6/ Group Info not showing member lists 7/ 4 major crashes in the last two hours - these crashes reboot my PC from a hard reset (this happened after the last update but had stabilised just prior to this one) and this severely affects my business as I loose the media i am streaming 8/ Trying to relog back in can take upwards of 20 minutes - it just hangs
Now lets see... I run a club and can't rely on streaming my audio because SL crashes my PC to a full reboot, I can't send group notices or IM's, I have a clothing business but cannot create new clothes... what the hell is the point of being here?
To cap it all off I heard that the Lindens want to go ahead with decentralising the grid - just what we need, more chaos...
In the UK there would be a law protecting the consumer from stuff like this... the Sale and Supply of Goods Act - if its not fit for purpose, for the purpose for which it was sold, then you are entitled to your money back... when can I expect my refund Lindens? (looks up and waits for flying pigs)
I'm am starting to wonder if the only difference between SecondLife and the Titanic is the fact that the Titanic had a band!
Now I know all the other stuff can, and probably has been (am just about to check), reported on JIRA... however I cannot report the crashes because they are completely random and not reproducable. It is only SL that crashes my PC out like this - have brand new gfx card, all the latest drivers etc etc... its just SL...
I hope the Lindens read this and realise they have some serious issues to addres regarding the stability and usability of the product that they sell to me - one that takes a lot of my hard earned cash and valuable time. I will not be holding my breath though and if things continue in this way then I shall be leaving SL for good.

Wierd affect after latest update - blue red green spashes
05-25-2007 06:34
Besides the fact that SL is even slower on my PC, I also have a weird visual affect. I see blue, red, and sometimes green splashes(triangle looking) eminating from avatars or objects. I dont see it everywhere but in a crowded area its almost everywhere. When avatars walk ..I see a trail...behind them. It cant be my VC heck. Anyone see this problem before? Its driving me nuts. It looks like everyone is pass triangular gas...LOL
Thanks VB

That's a beacon thing. View -> Beacons. Turn them all off.
