Second Life 1.13.3 (2) Jan 30 2007 15:34:24

Twice now, in Naiad region, I have had a problem of uncontrolled rising...

Both times I was wearing Flight Feather and StayAwake huds...

(1)After working on skybox [300m] for a several hours building, I TP's to beach level and then uncontrollably rose to bump into bottom of skybox.. Dropping flight feather had no effect.. Repeated TPs between beach and skybox did not stop problem Relog fixed it.

(2) again today.. A friend and I were hanging out, sitting in chairs for over an hour and then we both stood up and it happened to both of us.. We rapidly rose - flight automatically triggered when we stood - and hit skybox... For both of us, TP'ing out of sim fixed it... When I TP'd back to sim, I had same problem, When I TP'd out of sim all was well... When I walked back into sim, same thing happened... relog fixed the problem for a time, but it recurred within a few minutes.

Anybody else seen this problem??

Thanks,

wwv

Definitely sure there are no floater style 'weapons' targetted on you in that sim ? Try turniing view transparent on and looking for other wise invisible prims in the area. Such gadgets cant follow you across a sim border (I dont think) nor when you TP, but can retarget you when you enter the sim they are deployed in.

If you own the parcel and can turn autoreturn on it should send any such hard to find annoyances back to their creator.

Other than that idea I cant suggest anything except maybe a fluctuation in the local gravity flux, and you need a Dr. to fix that :)

That's weird. I assumed that the rising you get sometimes with flight feather was due to flight feather's force updates being deferred by sim lag, but if you dropped it and you were still rising... I have no clue.

At least that might help explain why i haven't been able to entirely eliminate that problem. :p
