Since it never got a response in the appropriate forum, I'm attempting a cross-post to this one to at least see if someone will read my note.

/111/f7/156319/1.html#post1374415

Synopsis: Lots a ton of things right before Christmas from my inventory. The support on this from LL has been to run their 'lost inventory' help file script, then go beg vendors for replacements instead of bothering them with it. Except for the fact that the last part there doesn't even come from them as a suggestion, I've gotten nothing but silence from LL or the customer support contractor since the intial 'live help' discussion that said I should go run the help file, then fill out a bug report. Nothing.

Happy camper, I am not.

What's the deal? Does this place have any responsibiltiy for reliability of the inventory system, or is everything we've built, everything we've shelled out REAL money for.. totally subject to luck on if it will exist tomorrow.. with zero responsibility to rectify things that are broken BY the hardware or software produced by Linden Labs.

Should I stop buying things, because I have no expectation of having them tomorrow?

What about someone like me who lost the core to my lottory system. I can't get that back, not ever. It relied on inter sim communication by email requiring a NON-CHANGING UUID of the server. Server went *poof* on the last update.

There have been alot of recent database issues due to "Population Overload". The technology is not keeping up with the big increase. Finding away around this missing inventory problem is simple; Press ctrl p > networking > clear catche > relog.
----------------------------------------------------------
Doing this will refresh the saved data, and once you relog, your inventory will be right back to where it was. Clearing your catche is a good thing to do every few days, it will help with all the bugs.

*Cheers*

Except that this does not work if you are actually missing inventory rather than suffering from cache corruption.

Which was the case in my case. Cache cleared. Nothing restored.

I'm glad this does work for some people. Wish it had worked for me.
