This is a bit of a weird phenomena... hoping it will at least be a phenomenon, that there are more observers. I'm almost tempted to call this "The New Zero" in honor of Nephilaine, Torrid, and Delairen. Please have a look at this. It's happened to me several times, seizes up the system, and then a few moments later, everything seems fine again. WEIRD!

I'm experiencing it locking for a second, really bad FPS, as compared to 1.6, I had to basically turn everything off for my video card, where it was ok before in 1.6 still major problems.

I do notice that bandwidth will temporarily drop to zero for a while. Also "red sim" in the minimap every now in then, meaning I've lost my connection to a sim without any "sim is going down" message.

Yes, I had the same happened to me. I was in E-City when it happened, but it never really did recover back to the normal time dilation of 1.0, Sim/Physics of 45. I ended up TPing out of there when I saw no real change.

I experience the same thing...total lock up for 5 or more seconds then it resumes. Never happened prior to 1.7

I've experienced a similar drop of bandwidth to zero almost my entire Second Life. Mostly it comes from moving across sims too fast, but occasionally it happens for no appearent reason at all, not even a sim crash.

How funny you call it "The New Zero" because it happened to me today in Pixeldolls, while I was shopping for The New Zero, haha. Couldn't walk in the store, and the Sim fps was like 0-8, no higher. There were only 4 people on the sim at the time. Called in a LiveHelper, and the sim stats went to zero across the board, then the sim crashed. When I got back it was all back to normal.

Yes - I've seen the "All Zeroes" in Isabel. Usually after I've been noticing the time dilation swing lower & lower.
An additional observation on the behavior:
The Shelter is split between two sims - Isabel and Wingo. We've migrated most of our activities over to the Wingo side since things got bad, but we still have people that insist on struggling in Isabel. (That's where the freebies are).
Interestingly, as we're socializing on the Wingo side of the room, and gaze out towards the Isabel side - every so often, Isabel will completely disappear. I mean, it'll look like one big void.
Then seconds later, it reappears. It hasn't crashed - all the avatars that were there are still there. I'm betting that its at those times - the stats drop to zero.

I wonder if the sim gets to the point where they are running so slow they cannot update to agents at all, and hence "disappear" for a bit. Of course, the question then is what the world are the sims doing if LSL is slow, texture uploads are slow, AV movement is speratic, and physics is haphazzard?

I was seeing all 0's in preview and in some maingrid sims, not exactly sure what it was but assumed it was the sim missing out on its transmit of the sim stats to the client and/or it didnt have time to update its own stats if the client requests stats, im not sure if its a push or pull method, as far as seeing av's after a sim dissapears unless you've chatted to them afterwards its probably safe to assume they are ghosts and would dissapear when the user tries to login again when and as the servers come up quite quickly they should appear in the same sim, unless they have it set to login at home.

Definately can confirm that the AV's in Isabel after it 'disappears' are not ghosts. Chat was delayed of course - but I was able to communicate with the people that 'disappeared', and continued to do so after the sim 'reappeared'.

Just to add my experience - I'm getting the freezing too! Every 25 seconds or so - everything stops then carries on after 1-2 seconds. When it happens and I'm flying, it looks like I'm going backwards for a few seconds!

This has happened to several sims I've been to after the 1.7 update, but they weren't really high-performance sims BEFORE the update, hehe (yes, I'm talking about FurNation). However, I have to report a different story on client fps... strangely, my fps is usually 10 higher than it was before the update, regardless of location. Places where I got 10 fps, I now get 20 fps, places I got 30, I now get 40, etc.... it's very strange, but I'm not complaining!
