Ok, I already made post here and from this post my opinion on the 1.19.1.4 viewer got quite obvious: I am not amused (and this is mildly spoken). I usually don't do suversive things like this but I really do not understand why the lindens want us make to accept a viewer that is in many ways a draw back. At least as far as I can say 1.19.0.5 was the nicest looking and most stable version of the SL viewer that I experienced. I never understood what windlight actually might be. All I can say is that 1.19.1.4 does not look nice on my machines (again midly speaking) and the machines that I use are not the badest ones.
Interesting enough now there is a test viewer for 1.20.*. This viewer is a bit more efficient than 1.19.1.4. However, SL looks (I do not mean the skin, this has significantly changed, so I mean the SL environement itself) as bad as it looks with 1.19.1.4. I do not understand the rational that is behind it to spoil the graphics in this manner!!!
So my minor initiative here is to redistrubute the link to the old viewer 1.19.0.5 with the hope that many of you will use it and in doing so hopefully keep this viewer alive as long as possible ...
