Example.....At my club or in my home I have a radio that allows me to select stations to listen to, as I select a new radio station it changes it in the media setting and automatically plays....this is fine.....but now......if I do that in my club or anywhere there is a group of people the music stops and everyone has to click the Play button on their UI to hear the new streaming media, where as before it was a continuous smooth transition from 1 URL to the next. So next time your in a club and the sound cuts out it just means the ULR station has been changed.... This is just since the new update to Second Life 1.19.0 (0) Jan 30 2008 16:41:52 (Second Life Release Candidate)

Yes, I have found this to be very annoying, on the same level as putting the "Release Keys" button on the far left. I make radios and every time I change the stream to test my devices the music stream stops and I have to manually click on the music button again just to continue the stream. I can see how after a while this would stop people from listening to the stream altogether because they think the stream has stopped and they won't bother to click on the music button anymore. It's a very bad interface design.

I'd like to see auto-start be a selectable option. Because it's useful when you actually want to listen to the music, but I've been in places where the video stream kept reseting and I'd have to keep stopping it every 2 minutes, plus the fact that my computer would freeze for a second everytime it started again. While I could've just disabled it all together, as soon as I left I'd have to go and turn it back on.

It also means that if you cross from a parcel with music to one without the music player stops. Previously if you crossed a parcel with no music it would automatically start when you reentered a parcel with music enabled. Now you have to restart the music when you reenter a parcel with music.
