I can understand a time stamp for IMs received while not online, but what is the use of adding time stamp to every line in the chat history window??? Some scripts require a copy of the chat history, now we have to cleanup every line because the time is added at the beginning of every lines... Please take off time stamp in the chat window.

The timestamp is necessary in case one has to report TOS violations.
It's also useful when looking back at your chatlog to find out who said what and when in relation to things that happened outside chat.

You can turn it off under Preferences->Chat.

I absolutely love it for numerous reasons been wanting it forever - I find it amusing someone is complaining - just turn it off

I havent been able to turn them all off... Only ones that turn off are the IM window. Chat History window still shows them. o.o

the edit preferences -> chat ->show timestamp in chat did turn off the timestamp. thanks. This must have been added with the new feature, I never noticed this switch before.
Now if only they would put a permanent toggle on clouds, trees and sun position so that I don't have to constantly turn them off everytime I log on....
