Hmm it really is bjorked I can't login for first time in 6 months
So is 27661 the number they add to residents online or the number of bots still logged in?
Please no "blame the update" hysteria mongering,, all version viewers are failing.

login failure

I can't connect with the new version either & it isn't the grid because I can connect on my XP PC with it. Think maybe it's Vista although this version is supposed to work with Vista and the other wasn't (but did!). Have logged support tickets since Nov 15th but so far no reply. Does this resonate with anyone else?

Can't log on
12-03-2007 12:25
I'm like you Bee.
For months SL has been OK on my higher end Visa PC now for the last week or so I get problems logging on. Usually the crash logger comes in sends it's info then everything stops. Click again and it repeats.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times with out any joy. Run virus checkers & System Mechanic (which found spyware!) I have no ideas left!
Tonight after a reload it worked once, now it just gives the 'detecting hardware' notice and then closes off!!!
I know my connection is OK because I can connect through my older XP PC.
Any ideas folks?
GGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to SL

success!

I'm back in but I'm not sure why. What I do know is that I downloaded everything labeled nVidia (my graphics card) and it reappeared in fits and starts. First I was able to get the 'loading cache' message, then I got to the logging in screen but no further, and finally the whole lot came in - but only after a re-start and without Outlook 2007 running! As some of this is undoubtedly coincidence, I wouldn't want to offer it as a solution but now I'm in reliably, with or without Outlook, sometimes with Norton running, and no re-start. I was confident enough to download the latest upgrade and that's fine too. What's absolutely clear is that it took SL about a fortnight to come up with anything and that what they offered was redundant. Not what I call great service. So - recommendations include downloading whatever your graphics card feeds on and keep going until your fingers bleed! Good luck!
