Client freezing and stuttering

Starting with v1.13.2 that was out this Wednesday, I have been having big problems with half second freezes, that slowly escalate to 10 or 15 second periods where the client locks altogether. This is happening all the time, but it definitely gets worse the faster I travel - e.g. if I am flying a plane or a sailing a boat. Sometimes it happens to me whilst I'm not moving, or even when I'm standing still writing code - the whole client seems to be locking up at regular intervals, with CPU dropping to 0% every time it does.

All this on a dual core Athlon 4600 with a GeForce 7950GX2 dual GPU graphics card. And yes, I always set the affinity on my dual core Athlon.

Checking the debug output from the client, and I'm getting loads of messages like this whenever it happens:

INFO: Playing back delayed packet 36
INFO: Playing back delayed packet 37
INFO: Playing back delayed packet 38
INFO: Playing back delayed packet 39

or:

INFO: packet_out_of_order - got packet 1123 expecting 1106 from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13
004
INFO: packet_out_of_order - got packet 1252 expecting 1232 from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13
004
INFO: packet_out_of_order - got packet 1310 expecting 1286 from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13
004

So I'm wondering if it's a network problem. I have reset my router multiple times, yet the strange behaviour prevails.

Needless to say, this is making it difficult for me to do anything, even writing code! :)

On a brighter note, sim crossings, when I eventually stutter my way across a sim, are now the quickest I've seen! It's almost as if one problem has been swapped for another! Oh well.

you are not alone

EDIT: Yes I just TRIED to login again.
Slow and failed..
Losing interest real fast in this thing.
No first land = no sales.
lag = bad experience
lag = having to do things more than once all the time.
put up with building limitations = unproductive
changes to SL system = bad news every time
Folks.. It IS getting worse.
I will, if it don't improve, furken give UP!

Been locking up yesterday myself.

I'm not sure if my issue is the same as yours but I was locking up every 30 to 60 seconds nonstop there were no longer periods. Finally I noticed it was after the video running on the land started a new song.

I disabled video streams and the lockups stopped.

Well, I've filed this as a bug report, and sent my Debug output to support. Hopefully everyone who is experiencing this is doing the same, that's the only way this is going to get fixed.

Also, someone's put it up on JIRA, if you want to add your own comments:

Add me as well. Soon uninstalled everything but SL on my PC. This is all since last update. New client didn't make any difference. Really, really irritating this. Especially as we're actually paying to play!

I am having the same issue. And I know of two others that are having the same problem, so it appears to be quite widespread. And it is since the update wed.

Looks to me like the rendering freezes for some seconds up to 10-20 seconds. Since they started working on "pipelines"?

Hmmm... that's interesting... just reset my modem a few more times, and finally, the problem has gone! Woot! Definitely a network routing problem then, and I'm guessing it was at my ISP's end. Strange that so many other people have it though. Unless it's coincidence, and some network admin has been doing some router tweaking at LL's datacentre.
