Happened to me. It appears that your IP address got caught up in a range that includes someone who may have been banned.
I sorted it out by calling the billing number. I had to call several times but eventually it worked.
Also put in a ticket..you aren't banned if you can get on the forums (I think) and make sure you give them the MAC address of your computer and IP address if you can.
Good luck, you will get back on but it takes persistence. Also it may clear up by itself and never return or return off and on until it goes away completely.

Yes. Although in the terms of service it says they can pretty much do what they want, banning people for no reason is something they rarely ever do.
This happened to some people earlier this year and it was as simple as contacting linden labs and within an hour being back in sl. If you did nothing wrong they will check that and hopefully have you back on in no time.

ok i have called 2 times and sent 2 of them tickets and still no help at all its all on there end i checked all of my stuff bucuse my brother works for a cabel place and its all works fine. and i can log in to the website but not get in the game do that make sence at all and the 2 times i have called all i got was smoke but up some where dark we all sit on. i have a have alot of stuff to run in sl i do pics and help run a club and have a shop with other things. but im not geting a dam bit of help and i was thanking about paying for a full year on here and a nice bit of land too but this has just all made me more mad.

I had this happening too a couple of months ago. I tried calling LL, but to no avail. Instead I submitted a ticket and it was fixed (with apologies) in ten minutes. So I guess you will have to continue sending in tickets...
