When you do Tools / Zoom to Selection the camera acts like someone was operating a zoom lens, slowly zooming in, instead of just cutting to the chase and setting the zoom instantly.

I would much prefer having the zoom change instantly. I have seen camera zooming effects plenty, I am not impressed or amused by them, and would prefer to spend the time spent waiting for the zoom to happen working on or looking at the thing I wanted to zoom in on.
