I put this here because everyone had it happen with the new release! See my topic here: /111/08/183925/1.html#post1510197So far I am not the only person to have this same problem. The people I talk to are at the same place as me and pretty much see the exact things as I do in my screenshots! This bug basically only lets you TP to places that you have landmarked or places in peoples profiles. You can't TP anywhere on a map or in searches (at least for me). Where ever you go the area seems to partially rez then either stops all together or like 20 minutes to an hour to finish. And even then sometimes things are missing from the areas.' Its very laggy too. I noticed it was actually the FPS that was down to like 3-5FPS and your packet loss goes crazy. Finally you can can oddly enough still rez your own objects just fine. Its like the game lets you do your stuff but doesn't like letting the game rez its stuff, well for you to see. This is the same for those people too. Just today I went one and my friend had a landmark to where I was and she seen what I did. It seems Linden doesn't know about this and most people don't know about it either! So please don't ignore this topic! Its rendering us players useless in game! We can't do much and its hard to have fun or build! Read my topic for more info.

What is Slingo? Tringo? I started just a few weeks ago. How do I know what I have? I know it says something like 1.15.3 or something. Wow this game is more complicated then thought.

Kez, these folks are playing with you because you referred to SL as a "game", and some folks get off on making the point that "SL is not a game, it's a platform". Have you tried powering down your DSL modem and any routers, etc - actually turning the off switch on everything or better yet unplugging them? Check to make sure your firewall, anti-spy, and other security software or devices are set to allow SL to access the ports it needs. If you have a router involved, is it wired or wireless? If you have a router, try removing it from the circuit and running SL with the DSL modem connected directly to the computer. Send an email to support, describing your problem in as clear a manner as you possibly can, making sure to include your avatar name and your computer specs. Check the knowledgebase at http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/category.php?id=14 to make sure you've checked everything you possibly can check.

I am having the same issue and I have done everything I can possibly do, tps fail get pop up that says could not teleport with a close button, yet the teleport continues to try, getting hung up, if you cancel it it renders you unable to move causing you to have to relog. Teleport to known destinations is fine - but using the map does not.

Yes, I do get my jollies off pointing out to people that SL is not a game--but I do also feel that it's an important point to make.
However, I should have been more helpful in my response as well:
If all else fails, generally issues like the ones you are mentioning tend to clear up over a day or two. For some reason, anytime there is a shut-down of the grid for an update or maintenance, a great deal of people have problems reconnecting once the grid is back up. I don't know why...but I do know I have never had that problem. Perhaps it is because I have a very strong cable connection and a very high-end computer? Not sure.
The advice above was great...playing with your current network is a good idea...and if you place a phonecall to Linden Labs they generally always help.
