Bugs, problems, 'updates'...

This is crap.

My boyfriend and I pay AN AWFUL LOT of money to use second life and try to enjoy ourselves. What do we get for our money? BUGS! GRIEFERS! PROBLEMS! And a staff if lindens that do NOTHING ABOUT IT! We want to give even more money to SL and buy a sim, but why should we when we get the 'service' we do now that sucks?

How is it someone can buy a 16 sq m plot in the middle of a piece of land (the particular instance i'm refering to happens to be someone who is doing it throughout a sim) and then have the NERVE to charge $32.50 real US dollars for it?! Shouldn't there be some kind of TOS rule that keeps this from happening? I don't really care about it being there in our land, but the person happens to have put 10 spy scripts into one prim. I called a linden to investigate it and got told only that there were too many scripts in the sim in general, that WE should get rid of OUR scripts.

I also want to know why it is Linden Labs likes to cover their bugs and problems up by adding new, less important and MUCH less desired features to the game.

And why must it be every week? My boyfriend and I are trying to run a business in game. This no-wednesday play stuff really gets annoying. More than annoying. It cuts into our game time and play time and work time.

I'm tired of these problems occuring.

Lindens are not worth the money that they get paid. Only one linden has ever helped me or anyone I know. He knows who he is.

The rest of you, quit slacking and make this game worth playing already.

Yaa ever since the string of updates started my business has gone down hill. i now offer free rent to my renters untill this mess lessens abit. the entire sl community is suffering with soo many bugs n glitches its hard to do much of anything anymore.

It would be nice if all these new features stopped being added for a while. At least untill all the other problems have been fixed.

i agree completely to tinintri, wich is my girlfriend, i pay a lot for second life and the land i am using, 80 a month for nearly half a sim (and wish to upgrade to a full sim..but with them downtimes and whole lot of bugs it might not even happen). ive heared and read a lot of the same complainments of the same sort and am geting very un satisfied with linden labs...(or do they call it linden lags nowdays..hmm).

even when contacting a linden about a problem you usualy get the awnser you did not wanted ot hear as an example end in an abuse report /bug report.. and then what ?.. an e-mail pops in, GOODY! an useless e-mail that tells you that your complain got in..and maybe a day later it got solved..ehmmm NOOO teh same problems are still there.

so for petes sake linden labs do something about this all..

and as for my girls saying, the only bestl inden ive met, its Harry linden, he rocks so keep up the good work harry

Why are Lindens even in the game? All they tell you to do is FILE AN ABUSE REPORT...to what end? Maybe...SIM Owners should be able to directly FINE griefers for eating up prim space by leaveing their junk all over the sim. Increase BAN limits..
Make 'em pay to play...free accounts have nothing to lose if suspended...they'll create a new account using anothe email address etc.. My partner and I have to deal with harrassment, greifers prim thieves every day and we waste more time picking trash off a sim and a half than we do doing anything constructive. If Lindens are in game..address important pleas for assist immedialty for get the line file an abuse report..nothing is done anyway.

Remember they don't care. The updates are to shove new stuff out, whether it works or not.

meh, i think they just want ot hear the things they like to hear, like a coin falling on the floor or the sound of cash coming in, they dont realy listen to the sugestions of their users it seems, i was always thinking the lindens were a lot better then the admin in another game tin and me used to play, but seems their currupted here aswell in some ways, not only saying the bad things only though, they do good stuff aswell.

like i have an awesoem function they could add, ban a person from your land and automatickly their alts get banned aswell..or something in those ways, but guess it wont ever work

Sadly, they have to let those people get away with it because of the TOS. Else they will be sued again by those greedy bastards.

Simply do not understand the purpose of 16 sq meter plots. 3 prims, infinite annoyances.

There should be a limit, like 256, that you must buy at one time in increments or something worth having.

I've been shot on my land(a safe zone)by a bunch of kids who think they can drop a combat build and call themselves freedom fighters.None of them have payment info posted...they continually lag the entire sim with their weapons,shout so the whole sim has to hear them.Ive requested nicely, muted them,and continue to get griefed on my own land. I dont know these asswipes but am continually used as target practice.File an abuse report?Been there.....and get the canned email saying the report was received.Big deal. The behavior continues.The land ban only serves to allow them to shoot me from the sim edge.Enough already.Why have TOS rules if the lindens dont uphold them.Ive yet to see an intelligent response by a linden on this.It's ridiculous.

Why is it always that people are down on the Lindens? Why don't you really ever see anything good about them in the Forums?

What about all those Lindens running around, getting flooded with IMs about Land Management issues like these:

"There are weeds all over my land owned by Governor Linden and it is messing up my club/business office/house/whatever build, can someone please remove these?"

"Someone is junking up all the Linden owned/Maintenance land in X sim, can someone please turn on autoreturn?"

"The road in X sim has become broken, can someone please fix it?"

Also I have seen Lindens arrive on the scene at griefings on occasion, taking a personal interest in what is going on.

The Lindens do a lot more in and out of the Grid than you may think. If you want an illustration of how far Second Life has come due to the updates, patches, and hard work of the Lindens, track down and watch the "Linden World 2001" video on one of the popular video websites. See how much work they have done since they had "Primitar."

One of my favorite hobbies WAS shopping, and I have dumped tons of pocket change in this game. I don't shop anymore, it takes way to long to rez (even if I am the only person in the SIM) I lag, crash, and basically takes hours of frustration to shop for a simple item. The fix? SL botique, SL exchange, if it's not there I won't see it, and wont ever buy it, and I think that is sad, the advent of demos for hair and skin were fantastic for me, but now a part of the game that was enjoyable has been upgraded to impossible.

As for the Linden staff, over the last two years or so that I have played in different forms, I have had nothing but good service from the live help, although my problems at best have been minor.

I have also though of buying a SIM but won't because it's futile. To have a nice build means dealing with lag, the estate tool problems means sharing is a waste now, clubs are crash havens, and I already know people like me that only shop online and not a game, so a store is moot. Basically what would the purpose of dropping over 1000$ be?

Rayella: if you can afford a sim you should be able to afford a computer that can handle SL better than you're experiencing.

For some people they do have the honking computer with Quad SLI + dual 512Mb frame buffer video cards, 3 gigs of RAM, 4 Ghz dual core processors or whatever, and the game still crashes on them randomly. It isn't always about the uberness of the hardware.

People often have more problems with their new high-end systems as New hardware means more bugs. the software and drivers for these new high-end computers have not Matured yet to the point of being stable, as such they are usually very unstable and people have many more problems with them.

I was visiting a sim today and when I got there I felt extreme lag and I made a statement about how bad the Lag was and this guy tells me that he feels no lag what so ever and that my computer must be a piece of (insert what you will) and that he never feels Lag in SL.
About that Time he Crashes.....
Comes back screaming Mad cusing up a storm.

Truth is EVERYONE IS FEELING LAG.
I am tired of being blamed that my computer is just not as good as someone elses.
