Random Messages from strangers

Twice i have gotten a random chat log from a girl that i do not know..we do not belong in any of the same groups..she does not have my card i do not have hers but...as always the chat log is between her and someone else who I know "of".
I've messaged her twice about it asking her why?..what?..and she is as clueless as me..she did not send the chat log.. but several people recieve it and they message her asking what?..why?
Anyone else get this?

If it's not IM log but public chat. You can overheard them if they're near you when they talk ;p

no no..this is an IM..sent to me...in chat log form..between her and someone else. The conversation isnt a conference,,not a group chat..its sent specifically by this girl..and shes baffled as well.

Wow...this is terrible.
IMs can't even go one place anymore and are no longer private. They've worked for decades* and now LL breaks them.

~Lana Ive seen this happen when Group IMs go wrong. Sometimes instead of showing the group name, it shows the Group Chat Initiator's name. I'll bet you share a group with her and this other casual friend.  |

I have had occassion whereby I have clicked someone in my Friends list, and someone elses IM chat box has openned instead. On one occassion, it was someone who I do not have in my friends list, or has even been in the same sim. It is a great way to make new friends though

I've seen the bugs that people are mentioning here.
But one time, I got a random message from a person who actually meant to send it to me. I was kind of startled, and asked, "uh...do I know you?"
He said, No. It turned out he was in the habit of looking at random profiles and IM'ing people who looked interesting.
We had a nice little conversation.
