Hello!

I've been here for a few weeks already, and so far it's really fun, however, I had some fairly annoying problems singning up. At the suggestion of the feature voting page I decided to try to discuss the issue here first. My issues are:

1. Credit card processing is somewhat annoying. Here in Europe many people have a Visa Electron. Apparently, SL doesn't accept this card for payment. This in itself is a major annoyance already, but there's the additional problem of that the card is rejected without any explanation. The page simply asks to check that the information entered is correct.

If whatever service is used to process payments simply doesn't provide any useful information, I'd like to at least have a link included a page listing possible reasons why it didn't work, including a list of cards that aren't accepted. Maybe I missed it, but even though "Visa Electron" has "Visa" in the name, it looks like it doesn't work, so it's rather confusing.

2. The captcha is highly annoying in that it uses a confusing font. I understand why it's there, but it seems to use a font where some similar characters can't be told one from another. Please change to a font that's less confusing, or at least include some instructions to make it less painful, like indicating that all characters are always lowercase, or that anything that looks like "O" is always a zero, etc.

3. My attempt to register a second account went well until the part where it informed me additional accounts would result in a one-time charge. I accepted that, and got a completely blank page. No charge was made, and the username didn't work. Fortunately, support was quick and helpful and resolved the issue, but that's something that definitely shouldn't have happened.

Credit card verification is needed to prevent duplicate accounts which would cause a economical decline in Secondlife.

Excuse me, but did you even read what I wrote?

I have no problem with the requirement of a credit card, I'm complaining about how it's currently being handled. When I entered the number of my Visa Electron, and submitted it, the page simply told me to check whether the information is correct.

I'm requesting a clear message, along the lines of "Sorry, Visa Electron is not currently being accepted", instead of the current "something is not right"
