For some reason every time I log onto SL I get prompted to download the new version, which I have already done twice now. Tonight I got prompted a third time. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I have the same problem, it wouldn't be that big of a deal, except, the updater NEVER has worked for me!! I have to uninstall/reinstall the whole dang thing!!!

 Updater doesn't work for me either, I've tried a lot of things and none of them have worked. There've been several new versions of SL done in quick succession recently to fix little things... leading up to bigger things... so no, it's not your imagination, SL will tell you when there really is a new version. And for anyone else the updater crashes for, head to: note that version number VERY carefully too (there was earlier confusion between 1.7.0.51, 1.7.0.52, 1.7.0.53, and 1.7.0.54), and DOWNLOAD! _____________________

2 days ago when they put out the .53 build, I was prompted to download it 3 times in a row, each time I tried to start SL it said there was a new update - I checked on the forums and saw that the update had JUST been put out - Kinda assumed that if LL was in the process of uploading the patch that this is what would happen? (I.E trying to download it when it hadn't been fully uploaded to the server, perhaps?)

I've had to download once last night and twice today. But each was different.
Additionally they said there would be rolling patches. That means multiple downloads. I for one am glad to get the fixes as they roll out. |
