There are two user interface issues that were bug reported at least three months before this last update and even though this last update was completely focussed on updating the User interface, they still are not fixed.
I thought I would make this post to remind those working on the UI that they are idiots that don't deserve all the freedom that foolish king Philip gives you.
1) Many times over the last year and a half or so people like myself who use the movement and camera virtual track pads have complained about having to go to the menu to make them appear ever single f*cking time we log on.
It's clear that the position of these windows is saved just like the position of every window is saved, yet for some stupid reason no one wants to put a flag in to let them stay on screen. I figure that since I started playing the game I have had to go to the menu and set these stupid things up a minimum of 1,200 times already. That's 1,200 drag-clicks too many! So LL changed the entire interface code and even introduced tear off menus (as if anyone really needed that) and yet you left this stupid behaviour in. I know for a fact that many more people besides myself have complained about this, and for years.
2) In the edit palette, in the "more" section, on the object tab, all the edit scroll boxes on the lower left side are one or two pixels short of being able to display two digits after the decimal.
This is infuriating and I personally have bug reported it several times over the last six months or so. When you are entering digits like profile cuts or tapers, you can enter say "1.25" on both sides, but on one side you will see "1.25" and on the other "1.2" as the five is cut off. This is on a standard resolution of 1024x768 on a standard laptop. Perhaps this doesn't show for everyone on all resolutions, but my laptop is one of the mot popular going and my resolution is standard. This was bug reported several months before the "UI update" we just had and again (by me) when it didn't show up in the update!
How stupid and how much lack of attention to detail can you have?
How can you redesign the entire UI code and yet have those same people responsible for that redesign, not even aware (apparently) of some standard long running bugs that users have reported with this same UI? Does one hand just not know what the other is doing at LL?
