So I get the latest 1.15.1.3 build and now my skin is jacked up, I have a black ring around my neck and a black ring around each ankle. What the hell? This is ridiculous, especially for something I'm freakin paying for. And nothing ever gets resolved, the Lindens don't do crap to address issues. My house has been broken since I got it, one of three window tint controls keeps breaking because of the stupid sim (the builder has come out 3 times to fix it, and it keeps failing - he says it has to be the sim preventing the script from running). omg this is such a stupid game, I've cleared the cache, I've uninstalled and reinstalled this stupid viewer, this is such a crock. I've never seen issues like this in GM software, heck, I've seen better beta software.
this totally sucks

This is something that is deterring me from upgrading my membership. Since down loading the latest version I have had the worst lag and drop outs/crashes.
Not happy Jan!
Get your act together already!!!

From: Sparkle Junot (the builder has come out 3 times to fix it, and it keeps failing - he says it has to be the sim preventing the script from running). Granted...sometimes SL has a hard time with making things run totally smooth...but your builder is just giving you excuses. Window scripts work fine--and have always worked fine. I should know...I make and sell quite a few of 'em. Personally...I have never had problems with SL. Everything is running beautifully for me.

The new optional viewer just crashed for me, for no apparent reason at all.
That's not new, the previous version was doing the same thing.
It does seem to be crashing more than it used be a year or so ago.
There have been some network issues tonight not related to the new viewer.
The older viewer can be reinstalled in place of the new optional viewer.
For the skin problem, you might try changing to a completely different avatar, in different sims, after clearing the cache.
I read a report lately of a similar problem the reporter was unable to resolve.

He comes out and resets it, it works for that session, but the next day when I log on it does nothing. When he told me it has to be something in the sim blocking that script or whatever, it made sense to me. ty hon xoxoxo Sparkle

Thanks SuezanneC love, Actually, I tried several things including using different skins, clearing the cache (hmm, that's a good idea about changing to a different sim, I didn't think of that) but finally editing my appearance and choosing skin made a difference (saving as a new skin of course). I also stumpled upon instructions for invoking the debug menu and I think maybe rebaking the textures might have helped too. xoxoxo Sparkle

..... I've had "the skin problem" for the last half dozen or so actual releases. It is machine independant, I see the same problem on three machines, all of different make all with different hardware.
Changing avs doesn't help (unless the skin is black as in BLACK). Clearning cache doesn't help (if -purge doesn't do it, I don't think going though all the clicks will either). Rebaking textures only works for a few minutes before it reverts. It also persists from one sim to the next.

I never download the new optional versions as I have learned my lessons over time. Every optional update makes many bad issues.
As you are seeing now.
They can not leave good viewer alone have to keep messing with it until its all screwed up again.
