Previously to match a texture from an existing prim to a new prim, all i had to do was click on the new texture face to the existing texture face, and i'd get the texture highlighted and click select. Now i don't even get the texture highlighted, and i have to scroll through all my textures to find it and apply the texture.
This also applies if i need to know what texture i've used on one item in case someone asks me which texture i've used and i need to find out so i can tell them.
OK for a newbie with very few textures.....not so easy for someone with LOTS of textures like me :(

1st off.TY for getting the grid open again........now can we have some response to what you'll be doing to fix things? Textures are still screwed.....LM's in map listings are still Alpahabet soup, not alphabetically listed.

The new eye-dropper tool is intended as the replacement for that functionality.

Click on a prim and then texture, click the eyedropper and click the prim with the texture you wish to duplicate.

actually i tell a lie....it was a frd who got that to work ....ONCE!!! I got the old way to work....ONCE!!!

and it still doesn't help that textures still aren't highlighted in my inventory side of the edit window.

Sorry Antoinette, I didn't mean to imply I preferred the feature. I have tested it five times in a row using both "Position" and "Select Texture" modes and not had a problem personally.

I do agree that I preferred "My Library -> Textures" to be the starting place for texture selection, however. I have also had every folder auto-expanded for no known reason.

the eyedropper tool does nothing for me - it appears totally unfunctional.

Also the cutom colours in the colour palette i added have been erased

Oh!!!!!!!!!!! What a pain!!!!!!!!

Not only that, when you drop a texture to the texture box in the Texture tab, it jumps to the content tab.

Another feature is annoying.
