Out of the 14,000+ people signed on at peak, how many are not even there? I'd guess somewhere in the thousands. Yeah, the number looks sweet, but the load is obviously more than the network can handle.

How many times have you tried to tp somewhere and gotten the "Region is full" message? It's not full because there are people there actually enjoying the content, it's because there are 40 afk alts sitting in camping chairs. I have nothing against camping chairs, mind you, they're great for getting newbies hooked, however, anti-idle devices create a large and unecessary load on the network.

Banning of anti-idle devices will have a number of wonderful effects-

1. Popular places will be popular because of their CONTENT, not just because they have lots of camp chairs.

2. Server load will be reduced to that caused by ACTUAL PARTICIPANTS.

3. Traffic numbers both for in-world regions and for SL as a whole will cease to be artifically inflated by huge numbers people that are AFK. (Something that, as a SL business owner, I'd prefer to see.)

Anyway, that's my $.02...

Technically, you don't need an anti-idle device/script any more. There's now a client side debug option to disable the AFK check.
