What should have been a wonderful event for a dear friend was turned into a series of disasters by the latest batch of SL faults:((

1) On arriving at the venue i met up with all the bridesmaids and was given the flowers to hand out to them. OK fine. I passed the flowers out and to my horror i got a barrage of chat saying the boxes were empty or would not rez so they could be opened. Ten minutes later some of the boxes has finally rezzed and a few had flowers but still a lots had missing inventory.

2) Catastrophy....... Two of the bridesmaids could not find their dresses that were handed out before the last "upgrade" and we had to hurriedly contact the makes to get replacements.

3) To the Batmobiles....... Brides and Maids of honour scramble to the carriages for a leisurly ride to the chapel....NO SUCH LUCK!!!!..... 1st off an idiot griefer blasts one of the carriages into the next sim. Next several people including myself crash badly and cannot get back into SL until doing a complete cold start.

4) Having had major problems with the flowers and resorted to the freebie roses I decided it was too dangerous to hand out the expensive jewellery that the Bride had kindly given for all the bridesmaids. When things seemed to have calmed down during the ceremony I decided to take the opeortunity to hand the jewellery out.
Frustration.... Having successfully passed it out i find that it cannot be attatched as SL has decided to loose the inventory database. All we get is unable to find a match in the database although we can clearly see the items listed in inventory.

5) The sweet sound of Love.... Yay they are married at last and very happy... On to the reception for a good boogie...... NOT A CHANCE..... The music stream is playing up.

In all the whole thing was a comedy of errors but was made into something special by the hard work and dedication of a few very good friends.

When are we going to see and end to these inventory bugs and some form of sanction against the juvenile griefers who delight in spoiling others enjoyment?

In the unlikely event that someone from LL should deem it necessary to read this and feel the compulsion to appologise to the brides I will be More than happy to introduce them to you so you can meet them face to face.

At the end of the day we are paying customers and as such are entitled to something that is fit for purpose according to the consumer laws in all countries.

SL Mirrors RL as in no wedding goes off without a hitch and in the end, shit happens.

I got married in SWG a number of years ago and am still "in game" married. It was a fun time. I"m sorry to hear this wedding wasn't as smooth.

I will be marrying my love in september, we live together in RL and are in love. because of RL issues though we will never be able to get married in rl so our sl marriage will mean a great deal to us. so just because your wedding is in SL don't dismiss as meaning nothing.

Thankyou to all those who feel the same as me that this was an important day for my friends that was destroyed. I can assure you it was as traumatic in SL as RL for those concerned

That's about the only thing that matters to remember. Why be negative about it? If it wasn't SL they would probably never met anyway, right?
