Existing Issues in New 1.7

Does anyone else have the following issues/problems in SL 1.7 Release?

[1] Very long wait time for objects to REZ, and some of them do NOT rez until you actually click on the item?

[2] Major jumping and Lagggy when teleporting, and very slow movement on teleport?

[3] Jerky and NON smooth when walking in game?

These are just a few of the issues I am finding now in 1.7, that I never had the problem with like this in 1.6+. Although I do see some benefits with the browser, the overall issues with SL in game to me are pretty much the same as before, and I really don't see any incredibly great improvement on stability, and functionality of 1.7 as Linden Labs professes on the opening page. For all the hype, I am very disappointed in the Lagging that is now worse than before, and the very slow teleporting to and from places, without using a hyper teleporter object, or using a plane to fly to where you want to go faster than the teleportation in 1.7 will give at this point in time.

Ok, the addictions are obvious...and I thought I was bad.

It's part of the update...things will settle down in a few days.

The Update is in less then one day and people are complainning~.~ It takes the server to update the new configurations one day in server rollbacks plus whatever patches needed to prevent bugs just in that update! Relax, get some crack and sit back give the update a few days and everything will be back to normal or as normal as it gets around SL

Some things will pan smoothly out over the longterm. Happened with 1.6 as I lived through it, will happen here again.

It's kinda like a cereal box, you shake up the contents and then wait for them to settle, and then you can reach in and grab the prize.

One issue I'd like to see resolved...

how 'bout we vote on it AFTER we give it the 24-48 hours it needs to start working properly. i'm having some issues with local teleport scripts and textures, but rezzing, teleporting, lag, etc, are pretty much expected the first couple days after an update. the preview looked great btw.

So far I seem to be experiencing a lot less lag, which is a big plus with me, and I'm enjoying the multi-select option for organizing my cluttered inventory. The rest of the improvements will be frosting on the cake. As a sculptor, some of the building enhancements will augment my artistic endeavors as well.

Suppose that
A) SL 1.7 is as "good" as all the "hype"
good == hype;

Therefore:
B) Being good, it wasn't hype after all
hype != good;

Thus:
C) Being not hype, with it being as good as the hype, means it is not good
good=FALSE;

it muches too much ram for my liking..... unless that was not intentional....

So far it's been a very negative experience for me. Lag and slow ressing is so bad nearly everywhere I go that I haven't been able to leave my house. There's even 2-3 words of lag when I type IM's. I wanna shop damnit!

So it's been two days since the upgrade went into effect. Just how many days do we have to wait for things to 'settle down'?


In the meantime, could I please have v. 1.6 back?

1.7.0 is virtually unplayable for me. The skies and seas sure look nice, but the rest looks like a cubist painter on a bad acid trip did the graphics.

Witholding judgement until they release 1.7.1, at least...

Anyone else "Ruthing" with almost every teleport? I teleport, I Ruth, I log out and log back in--so nearly every teleport requires a relog. I log in and out so much to get rid of Ruth, I'm about to just stop teleporting altogether and stand in one spot, not building, not texturing, not shopping, not exploring. And it's been 3 days now--more than the 48 hours. When is 1.7.1 due and how long until that one settles down, and does it fix the Ruth problem?

Numbers 2 and 3 I'm only having minimal problems with as always even before any of the new versions came out. As for number 1, big big problems. Textures still aren't loading and half the objects won't even show up for like 5 minutes. Other people say it is working for them, but still very slowly. I'm getting nothing at all for textures though.

We are all under house arrest. You didn't notice that new attachment on your ankle?

I am crashing again today - yesterday I had it fixed with updating my video card - today - crashing
