I would think the Lindens would leave the preview up about 6 months before putting it on the main grid it takes at least that long for us residents to do the tests there and test it out and for the Lindens to fix the bugs we report. but no Lindens are so in a hurry to put a new version out despite our protests of its bugginess they spend umteen hours trying to fix the bugs on the main grid instead of the preview thus interrupting our second life that we pay for to play, yes the lindens give us stipins to make up for some of it but we pay out of our own earned money for what.. to be frozen upon log in which has appears every so often think after this long the log in would be fixed.. it would be understandable if i was not on for months at a time but i log on most every day so now i wait and wait and wait while my log in is frozen.. and by the way when i do a control alt delte it says Second life is not responding which means it has crashed not frozen CRASHED!!!!
As i said before i cant believe i pay to play a broken alwasy broken game

And what are they supposed to do while they wait for you to do your tests? Sit on their arses and twiddle their thumbs? Most of the bugs don't become apparent until it's running at full load on the main grid so they won't be able to fix them. Oh, and BTW, "not responding" doesn't mean it's crashed, just that the OS can't communicate with it in a timely fashion (or something like that). I regularly have applications in that state recover. Just though you might like to know.

Would it make a difference?
I go into every preview and test my major scripts, builds etc.. very very few people do this and then scream when it goes live and it breaks something.
So another 6 month would make no difference as most still would not go in to check and make sure nothing they made is broken by update.
So fine the way it is, just need more people going into preview to test.
