Logged out but SL still running?

I don't post much on the forums, just mainly an observer and reader, but I haven't seen anything recent on this problem so I am wondering if anyone else has it.

I read the post regarding the textures, I am having something similar...well a bit. Nine out of ten times that I upload a texture, I crash. Other times, I can just simply place items from my inventory out and I crash (regardless of what sim I am in at the time).

Most odd about my problem is others in the game see me as logged out, but I do not. Most of the time I can still pan my camera around, walk, even IM - so I do not know until I am told by a fellow player via Skype. I can sit behind SL for an hour and it does not log me out on my end. Thus, I cannot send a crash-logger/report to anyone.

Of course I have sent support an email, giving a call on Monday, but I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem? Anything similar? Or did I do something in the past to receive some Secondlife-Karma

It happens all the time it's know as:
SL not being able to detect a ping timeout.
Yes, that's right, SL has NO CODE to detect if it has been disconnected from the server.
Try this:
Log in, pull out your ethernet cable, observe.

And there are two pings that matter:
Ping Sim and Ping User. If your Ping Sim dies (that is, becomes 10000) but your Ping User is ok, you can chat and IM, but not interact with the world!
And I've never seen the reverse (Ping User == 10000, Ping Sim ~150), so I have no idea what would happen.

Good. I like being able to wake from sleep and still be in SL.

Sometimes it takes me awhile to figure out Im no longer connected. Until I try to do something like build, or communicate with someone. And when this doesnt work I hit the mini map to see if everything is greyed out or not.
