Verify this login issue with me :)

I am logging in but I am stopping at Verifying protocol, just wanted to make sure that this was the stopping point with everyone or if it just varied with different users. Understand there must be a huge overload and the bottle neck situation just wanted to get feedback on other people's process logging in

I have a friend experiencing the halt on "verify protocol process" issue on first login too.

Does anyone have any insight on this issue?

My understanding is it may be firewall-related.

Probably firewall / proxy / router , some have to use -port command, some firewalls autoblock silently and wont let you connect either.
